Burn the filter by putting it in a clay crucible and lighting it with a match.Rinse the filter containing silver chloride with water and dry it.Filter off the silver chloride through a plastic funnel or strainer lined with a filter. When the salt stays in the bottom of the solution and the silver chloride stops falling out, then the silver should be broken down. You should find a white substance that looks like cottage cheese. Take un-iodized table salt and drop into acid solution.Place on stove or hot plate and simmer until all of the silver is gone.Add 3 parts distilled water to 1 part nitric acid.Place the silver in a beaker or Pyrex container. When the liquid looks like honey and lays flat with no lumps in it, remove it from the furnace and quickly pour it into a mold or let it set and cool in the crucible. Cover the burned material with soda ash and heat in a furnace or oven to 2100 degrees F.Dry the filter and silver and burn it in a clay crucible. The silver will look very dark gray or maybe black. Filter off the silver from the bleach by pouring through a plastic strainer or funnel lined with a coffee or ash-free filter.Set the bleach aside and let the silver settle to the bottom. The bleach will bubble and get hot when it is saturated. When the bleach has taken all the silver it can hold, it will no longer make the film transparent. When the film is transparent, all the silver has been removed. Dip the film into the bleach and move it around.Fill a five-gallon plastic bucket with bleach.Never add water to nitric acid!Īlways wear rubber gloves, plastic safety glasses and a plastic or rubber apron. Nitric acid can ruin your clothes and shoes.Īlways add nitric acid to water. WEAR RUBBER GLOVES!Īlways use nitric acid in a well-ventilated area. Highly recommended.Nitric acid can be absorbed through the skin, causing nitric acid poisoning. It’s easy to work with, and gets the job done without hassle. I’d even go as far as calling it an upgrade. Overall, I believe this crucible is a must-have for anyone that is running a V4 or even thinking about it. Nonetheless, insignificant to its performance. FWIW I had the temp wayyy too high to begin with, so that didn’t help that situation. I did by accident, and left an ugly brown stain that won’t seem to come off:(. Be careful to not scorch your load trying to burn that reclaim out. I believe it’s due to the texture of the machining, which I think may even help provide greater surface area for more vapor to produce. The cup is a bit tougher to clean, but nothing a couple extra swabs won’t tackle. I do notice that the Ti seems to be a lot more efficient in vaporizing the load more thoroughly, and I’ve been seeing smaller reclaim puddles at the end of my sessions. Once I taste that harshness, it’s Qtip time for me.

This I sort of appreciate in a way because I no longer have to tear my cap off to visualize wether or not my load is done or not. The reclaim is slightly harsher than with the Quartz. It would be really difficult to tell the difference in taste from the Ti apart from the Quartz, if it weren’t for the reclaim. Now don’t get me wrong, the flavor is still amazing with no metallic flavors. For comparison the original quartz cup the device comes with gets a 10 in my personal opinion. If I had to rate the flavor from this crucible on a 1-10, if give it a solid 8.
#RECLAIME THE CRUSIBLE PLUS#
This is a huge plus IMO, because the mouthpiece stays a comfortable temperature for use. I’ll usually get anywhere from 4-6 rips off a load, and the housing is about half as warm as it would be had I taken that many rips with the Quartz. More often than not, it’s because my lungs are already full, expanding from the dense thick vapor the Ti so effortlessly produces. I’ll preheat for 5 seconds to give the load time to completely melt, begin my draw nice and easy, and continue to fire until I feel the heat or I’m filling up, whichever comes first, then finish with a 2-3 sec cool down. This crucible reminds me of a coil with its quick ramp up, and that’s basically how I use it. That’s right 3-4 seconds, practically instant. I’ve been running my v4+Ti on my Mirage DNA75c 390f 32w Ni mode, and my rice grain to grain and 1/2 will begin to melt around 3-4 seconds. Here’s a little insight to how I like to use it, and what I think about it in general. The Ti crucible was no exception, and it’s quite impressive. I am however somewhat biased due to the fact that every experience I’ve had with DT products and service has been outstanding to say the least. Let me start by stating, I am in no way affiliated to Divine Tribe Vaporizers. Sorry if this review is a little unorthodox, it’s my very first! Hey everyone, how’s it goin? I’d like to shed some light on the Titanium crucible Matt was so super kind to send to me! Thank you by the way Matt, this cup is my new daily driver.
